Via The Daily Telegraph:

"Proposed legislation to allow voluntary assisted dying in NSW has divided opinions among MPs on the north shore as residents add their voice to the debate.

The Voluntary Assisted Dying Bill 2021 is expected to pass a fist vote in the state’s lower house this week after dominating parliamentary sittings last week.

At least 39 state MPs have already spoken in support of the bill – which requires 47 to clear the lower house before going to an Upper House committee for review – while 25 have spoken against it."
