A free community service from the Dying With Dignity Queensland Inc.

The most recent Newspoll survey (April 2007) indicates that at least eighty percent (80%) of Australians support the concept of Medical Assisted Dying.

Medical Assisted Dying is a topic many people would like more information about and would like to be able to discuss freely. However, it is a topic many are reluctant to raise. According to studies done at the University of Queensland, it is not death, but rather the manner of dying that is of concern to most people.

Our speaker will generally cover the following aspects:

• Medical Assisted Dying and the law;
• Why there is a need for Medical Assisted Dying;
• Advance Health Directives (Living Wills).

Following the talk, questions from the audience will be welcome.

We are sure your audience will appreciate the opportunity to discuss this important social issue openly, whether they agree with the principle of Medical Assisted Dying or not.
